Check out my podcast

Check out the first installment of my
fifteen minutes of Worship Podcast
I haven’t set up my feedburner account yet, so you can’t “catch” it with ipodder, but that’s coming.

Enjoy the worship. Sing along!

The tunes are:
Jesus you are Holy
Our God Reigns
Father of Lights
How Great Thou Art
Lord Reign in Me
Holyness

Soon I’ll split a blog off for the Fifteen Minutes of Worship podcast.

I decided to go with that one first because I don’t want to think about grammar. ( That one, the Grammar Slammer may get put on indefinite hold.

Have fun!

My First Post from W

My First Post from Word.

Didn’t I just complain that blogger seems to have effectively shut me out of posting with their editor? Well, today I logged on and saw this post from word feature. If this happens, it’ll be great! I won’t have to use no stinking editor on the web. (

blind frustration

Blind Frustration

I just discovered today that blogger seems to have made it impossible for us blind folks to take full advantage of their blogging tools.
I thought that I'd like to p          ost some pictures of myself so that my sighted friends could have a look. Well, I tryed to follow their direcitons to post a picture. It turns out that many of the features in the post editor are little buttons which you must click with your mouse. this is not possible for blind folks. the screen reading software that we use does not read the buttons for uploading a picture ETC. And, wouldn't you know it, blogger doesn't allow you to send it as an attachment via Email either. So, there you have it. :-)
I've sent them an Email and I hope they respond, but I'm guessing that it won't happen any time soon.
If you'd like to check out a recent article on the subject go to,

I'll keep trying! :-)

I've decided I suck!!!
I just went back and read some of what I've written in my blog. This was prompted, partly, by the fact that I just put the address for my blog in the signature of my outgoing Email. I figured I'd better go back and read the mess before I let others read it. :-)
Here are a few things I noticed. Most glaringly, I started a bunch of these posts with the word "so." I hate when my students do that. I hate it when they're predictable, or boring. But, here I am. I guess that's why I'm not perfect. :-)
The other thing I am lamenting is that I haven't written for, like, seven months.
I've been busy with school/work, really one in the same. I've also just forgotten.
I went back and read the "blind moment" story and it was hilarious! I wish I had written more of those. They've happened, make no mistake, but I just forgot about my poor little blog. :-)
So, I am reconfirming my devotion. I'll try not to forget. :-) Until I get busy again. ;-)

So I'm leading praise and worship tonight at 1st service at La Sierra University church.
I'm looking forward to it. I don't get to lead nearly enough.
It'll be an acoustic set probably just me singing as well.
I'm going to lead:
How Great Thou Art
Jesus you are Wholly
Our God reigns
Father of Lights
Wholliness
Lord Reign in me

Maybe one or two more. We'll see.
I've got a bunch of stuff to do before that though. I'm restringing my guitar and I should practice a little bit.
I'm almost ready for my podcast. I've been researching podcasting stuff. I've got an account with r-podcasting which is a free service. Pretty soon I'll be on line.
I think I'm going to start with the Grammar show first.
The idea is that you get a little three to five minute primer on a particular aspect of grammar. It'll be upbeat and exciting.
Stay tuned!

So I'm poised. I'm ready and excited about starting my podcast.
I've got several ideas for the topic. I'd like to do something blind related, or possibly music related.
I've always thought it would be interesting to do a publication or a show on blind issues. I think I discussed that earlier in my blog. Blind folks encounter all kinds of crap. It would be interesting to talk about those things, dating, employment, that kind of thing. My friend Cheryl is working on a PH.D. in reading and blindness. I thought it would be interesting to do a show or two on research in the blindness field. The study of how "we" read is facinating.
Of course music would be fun too. I've got a couple of ideas. I could do a Christian oldies show. 80's music from when I got in to Christian music. That'd be fun. i also thought of doing a praise and worship set. I'd play guitar and lead my listeners in twenty minutes of praise and worship on a regular basis.
So, we'll see. I don't know yet. I'm going to spend today setting up software and learning a little bit. Who knows, there may be something here soon. :-)

So, what did I say in one of my first postings? I just can't keep up with these things! What I really need is something to make it easy. This going to a site, logging in, clicking on a million links just to write my thoughts is a pain in the butt!!! What I really need is an IV that goes straight from my head to the web. That would make things perfect. Ofcourse, such an unsensored thing would probably be illegal, not to mention embarassing--like y spelling. :-)
I've figured out the perfect solution, for the moment.
It's my Miranda client. I can blog directly from my IM screen. That's cool! :-)
Here's hoping that it'll keep me from forgetting about my blog. :-)
I'm hoping that I can start some podcasts too. :-)
